John Crawford was the first winner of the Gold Award for candidates undertaking the Learning and Development Level 4 VQ using Training Matters' unique online system. John had very little previous experience of using IT and undertook this challenge with great enthusiasm. Through the work that John has done for his VQ he has implemented many changes for the benefit of his organisation.

On receiving his award, John said 'I would never have dreamed in a million years that an award would have such an effect on my general life never mind my own outlook towards my everyday work and my own future development. Other companies should take a look at Training Matters and use them as the benchmark. Support with a personal touch which was second to none, is very hard to come by and this experience has only sweetened my appetite to do more with my own life, a bit dramatic, but wholeheartedly true. My way of working has changed forever and the main cause - Training Matters and their impact on my life.'
