Roberta Brown and Margo Findlay started Training Matters in 1997 with a vision of using their expertise and training to offer organisations quality solutions for their current issues. The original mission statement remains the focus of the company - to enhance businesses through developing their people.
Training Matters provide quality learning and development training for managers and trainers. Our core business lies in management development and specifically in the delivery of management vocational qualifications. Our programmes are both motivational and effective and concentrate on organisational improvement through developing individual potential.
Training Matters use the most up to date technology available. 6 years ago we developed our own online system for all candidates, allowing them to build their portfolio online and access course work via the internet. This enables candidates to work towards a qualification regardless of geographical area. We were the first company in Scotland to work this way and have recently won the UK National Training Award and Training Provider of the Year in recognition of the quality of the programmes we deliver and the innovative practices we employ.
Our dynamic and committed team are professionally dedicated to what they do. All our trainers have managerial backgrounds and hold management and training and development vocational qualifications. Our team believe in what they do and use their expertise and knowledge to analyse, design and deliver learning solutions which are relevant, effective and successful for today's fast changing environment.
Training Matters are an accredited centre for SQA and ILM vocational qualifications and also hold Investors in People and SQMS accreditations.

Training Matters hosted their annual award ceremony on 12th June 2008. The evening saw over 90 candidates attending to receive their awards together with representatives from their companies and many other partnering and supporting organisations.
